Boston College Senior Dies After Being Struck By Two Cabs In NYC
NEW YORK (CBS) – A Boston College senior was struck and killed while crossing a street on the Upper East Side of New York City on Thursday, CBS New York reported.
Kelly Gordon, 22, who is from New Jersey, was first struck by a cab that was traveling southbound. The impact threw her into oncoming traffic and she was hit by a second cab in the northbound lanes, police said.
Gordon was reportedly staying in the city with her sister while she went on job interviews.
"The Boston College community offers its prayers and condolences to the family and many friends of senior Kelly Gordon," Boston College said in a statement. "Kelly was a popular student in BC's Carroll School of Management… a community volunteer with the student group 4Boston, and a member of the student organization Boston College Women in Business."
The school said counseling services are available to all students, and all campus Masses this weekend will be offered for Gordon and her family.
