Boston Celebrates 4th Of July, Bicentennial Of The War Of 1812
BOSTON (CBS) – The city of Boston is always the place to be on the Fourth of July, and for some people, it's an all-day party.
People got to the Esplanade bright and early on Wednesday morning to get a spot right in front of the Hatch Shell.

The oval opened at 9a.m. and there was a mad dash to secure the best spots for the Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular.

This year, Independence Day coincided with the 200th anniversary of the War of 1812. To mark the occasion, the Blue Angels performed a flyover during the annual USS Constitution turnaround cruise.
