Boston Cannons' Brodie Merrill Scores Miraculous 'Hail Mary' Goal

BOSTON (CBS) -- In case you missed it over the weekend, The Boston Cannons scored one of the craziest goals you'll ever see.

Down two with the game clock expiring, Brodie Merrill heaved a desperation shot the full length of the field to send the Cannons to overtime. They'd eventually defeat the Rochester Rattlers, 15-14, but it's Merrill's goal that's made all the highlight reels.

The victory improved the Cannons' record to 3-1 on the young season, keeping them near the top of the MLL standings. The Rattlers, meanwhile, remained winless, dropping to 0-3.
