Bruins Unveil 2016 Winter Classic Jerseys

BOSTON (CBS) - The Boston Bruins unveiled their jersey Saturday for the 2016 NHL Winter Classic at Gillette Stadium.

The Bruins will play their Original Six rival the Montreal Canadiens January 1 outdoors in Foxboro.

"The inspiration for the design of the full uniform and the crest generally came from the first uniform ever worn by the Bruins during their inaugural season in 1924, under legendary coach Art Ross," the Bruins said in a statement.

Fans can pre-order the jersey at the TD Garden or online at shop.NHL.com.

This will be the Bruins second appearance in the NHL's annual outdoor game.

They played at Fenway Park on New Year's Day in 2010, beating the Philadelphia Flyers 2-1 in overtime.
