Boston Archdiocese says no plans to close more churches
The Boston Archdiocese denies that there are plans to shut down more than 100 churhes in the coming years.
Chancellor James McDonough says comments he made at a meeting Thursday niht were misinterpreted.
He said that there would be some big changes to the archdiocese over the next ten years because of adjustments in finances, chruch attendance and ranks among the clergy; But he made it clear that he did not anticipate church closings would be part of that plan.
The Archdiocese has closed 86 parishes in the past ten years.
