Bongo Born At Franklin Park Zoo Named 'Stanley' In Honor Of Bruins
BOSTON (CBS) - On the same day the Bruins clinched the Stanley Cup in Vancouver, a "namesake" was born right here in Boston.
A baby bongo was born at the Franklin Park Zoo on Wednesday.
"They're just a beautiful antelope that's becoming increasingly endangered in the wild," said Zoo New England president John Linehan.
A bongo is an African antelope often described as the most beautiful of the antelope with white stripes. But, this one also has a bit of black and gold.

"We, like everybody else, are so excited about what happened last night, which was the Bruins' big win," said Linehan.
Linehan said since the baby was born on the same day the Bruins clinched the Stanley Cup, they've decided to call the bongo "Stanley."
Because she's a girl, they'll call her "Lee" for short.
