Boeing Dreamliner Plane Returns To Boston For Possible Fuel Pump Issue
BOSTON (CBS) -- A Boeing 787 Dreamliner headed for Tokyo turned around over Canada and landed back in Boston.
It's Japan Airlines Flight 7.
The FAA released the following statement:
Japan Airlines flight 7, a Boeing 787, from Boston to Tokyo, is returning to land at Boston due to an indication of a possible fuel pump issue. The aircraft is burning off fuel before landing back at Boston. The pilot did not declare an emergency.
It left Logan Airport at about 1:15 p.m. and landed in Boston shortly after 6 p.m.
In January, a Japan Airlines 787 caught fire on the Logan tarmac.
No one was injured in that fire.
The Boeing 787 fleet was later grounded for months.
