Body Of Boston Marathon Bombings Suspect Finally Buried
WORCESTER (CBS) - The long ordeal for the city of Worcester is over.
The body of Boston Marathon bombings suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev has been removed from the city and has been "entombed," police announced Thursday.
In a statement, police said that as a result of their public plea for assistance Wednesday, a "courageous and compassionate individual came forward to provide the assistance needed to properly bury the deceased."
The burial site and the person have not been identified.
Police had been providing security details around the clock at the Graham Putnam and Mahoney Funeral Home since May 3, when Tsarnaev's body was brought there.
Those details cost approximately $10,000 a day.
