Bobby Orr's Daughter-In-Law Accused Of Driving Drunk
QUINCY (AP) -- Former Boston Bruins star Bobby Orr remains one of the most revered sports icons in the city, a fact police say his daughter-in-law tried to use to her advantage when she was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving.
Police in Cohasset say 32-year-old Chelsea Orr was arrested after she crashed her SUV Tuesday night.
Police allege she invoked her famous father-in-law's name, told an officer she was "very powerful" and could have him fired.
She also allegedly told police she had recorded three hours of conversations with them on her cellphone which she would make public.
That got her charged with illegal wiretapping.
Orr was released on $1,000 bail after pleading not guilty on Wednesday at her arraignment in Quincy District Court.
She and her husband refused comment outside court.
