Bob Kraft, Steve Wynn Discuss Plans For Foxboro Casino
FOXBORO (CBS) - Robert Kraft and casino developer Steve Wynn made their pitch to bring a casino to Foxboro.
Kraft and Wynn want people to hear them out and understand exactly what's being considered.
They have a lot of people to convince. Protesters have already started mobilizing to show their strong opposition to a Foxboro casino.

They took their pitch public with a round of media interviews Monday. And most notably, they're using the argument that helped get casinos over the hump on Beacon Hill this year: We need new jobs here, badly, and this is the quickest way to create them.
And it was clear that Wynn was eager to dispel the protesters' visions of Vegas on Route 1. Instead, he sees a convention and entertainment complex with the casino discretely tucked away.
"If you're with your family, if you're staying in the hotel or going to the spa or the convention facilities or going shopping or to eat, you don't have to deal with the casino, you don't even know it's there," says Wynn.
Wynn says the facility would have to be a full casino, not just a slots parlor.
"Under no circumstances would I operate a racino, it's not in our DNA," he says.
But what about the DNA of Foxboro and its neighbors?

Bob Kraft answers that question with a question: What happens to the area if job growth continues to sputter?
"I'm worried about what's gonna happen to the social fabric if we don't bring jobs back to America," says Kraft, "and here we have an opportunity in this community to create 10,000 new jobs."
Let the chips fall where they may.
