Not Just Red Or White Anymore: Now There's Blue Wine
BOSTON (CBS) – Tired of red and white being your only options for wine? What about blue?
Spanish wine maker Gik has concocted an electric blue wine that's made from a mixture of red and white grapes. It gets its bright blue color from a pigment found in the skin of the grapes and an indigo plant extract.
The blue wine is 11.5 percent alcohol and has no added sugars.
It's available to buy online in Europe for about $11. Gik is working to make delivery possible in other countries.
