Black Friday Survey: 44% Of Shoppers Will Arrive Before 5 AM

BOSTON (CBS) - Black Friday is the official launch of the holiday shopping season and there's a new survey looking at what you can expect if you are planning to shop this year.

The survey from Deloitte shows about 35 percent of holiday shoppers will hit the stores over the Thanksgiving weekend.

On the other hand, more than half of holiday shoppers say the crowds will keep them away from stores.

Overall, shoppers said they expect to spend an average of $224 this coming weekend.

And if you are planning on taking advantage of the door buster deals, you'll want to get there early.

Forty-four percent of Black Friday shoppers plan to be at the stores by 5 a.m.

Lastly, 70 percent of consumers are looking for info on Black Friday sales.
