BJ's Cuts 114 Jobs In Natick
BOSTON (CBS/AP) - BJ's Wholesale Club its cutting 114 jobs at its headquarters in Natick.
It will also close five stores by the end of the month, but none in New England.
Three stores in Atlanta will be shut down, along with one in Sunrise, Fla., and one in Charlotte, N.C. That will cut 380 jobs total.
The cuts were announced on the same day that BJ's reported December revenue in stores open at least one year rose 3.8 percent.
BJ's has 23,000 employees nationwide. It's the third-largest warehouse club in the country.
The company also announced Wednesday that CFO Frank Forward is retiring and will be replaced by Robert Eddy, currently BJ's director of finance.
