Billerica Hit Hard By Fast Moving Storm
BILLERICA (CBS) - Keeping up with all the damage in Billerica is not easy. The mess is scattered all over town, from Sycamore Street, where trees came down outside a family home hitting a car and pulling down power lines.
Mike Rosa is on the Board of Selectman he tells WBZ, "This was a full grown oak tree just uprooted. That's how high the winds were. It was pretty bad."
There was a massive old oak, pulled up from the roots on River Street. On Hilltop Road, the road is blocked, after a tree crashed onto a van and the power lines.

Kayla Spect says, "I was watching TV and I heard a tree fall."
Kayla Spect, 12, was inside, alone, when the storm roared through her neighborhood. She says, "It was hailing, raining, lighting and very windy."
The damage was scattered through town, from trees on a house and on a lawn, even on cars in an office parking lot. One van in the lot is a total loss.
Catherine Kingman says, "I got dropped off at home and it was in the middle of the street it was scary."

Catherine Kingman pulled up to her home in Concord to find a large tree snapped in her front yard. Concord town crews have been working nonstop to get rid of the mess.
At the Club Car Cafe in West Concord, it wasn't a tree, but lightning causing problems and the chimney took a direct hit.
Owner Ron Giacoppo says, "Huge bang, huge. I mean the building shook, the lights went off, the fire alarm went off and it was crazy."
Crazy and quick.
It was a hard hitting summer storm that left its mark, but luckily no injuries.
