Bill Belichick Talks Jets "Pushing" Game, Son Steve Talks Super Bowl In New 'Do Your Job' Clips
BOSTON (CBS) -- You may need a distraction from the latest firestorm surrounding the Patriots today. Fortunately, the NFL Network just dropped two fresh clips from the upcoming documentary Do Your Job: The Story of the 2014 New England Patriots, featuring both Bill Belichick and his son Steve, who sounds eerily similar to his father.
In the above video, Belichick goes into detail about the Patriots' Week 7 loss to the New York Jets in the 2013 season, in which a crucial "pushing" penalty against the Patriots helped set up the Jets for a game-winning field goal. He admits fault in the coaching and outcome of those plays.
The Patriots got their revenge in the 2014 season, also in Week 7, in which they legally blocked a potential game-winning field goal by the Jets as time expired in the game.
In the other clip, Bill's son Steve talks about his experience winning Super Bowl XLIX as an actual member of the coaching staff, as opposed to being a spectator for the Patriots' first three Super Bowl wins. And as you'll notice right away, Steve's speaking voice and inflections are eerily similar to his dad's. Close your eyes and it might be the Hoodie.
"Do Your Job" premieres Wednesday night at 8:00 on the NFL Network.
