Bill Belichick Talks Infamous 'We're On To Cincinnati' Moment In New 'Do Your Job' Clip
BOSTON (CBS) -- Just like his coaching, Bill Belichick's press conferences are the stuff of legend. Whenever he steps to the podium, there's always a chance of a media moment that will be replayed countless times and live forever in Patriots lore.
After the Patriots lost a 41-14 drubbing at the hands of the Kansas City Chiefs, everyone knew there was potential for a classic Belichick press conference moment. And he delivered, with what might go down as his most famous quote: "We're on to Cincinnati." 13 times.
Belichick addresses that now-famous press conference in yet another new clip from the upcoming NFL Films documentary Do Your Job: The Story of the 2014 New England Patriots, and says what Patriots fans might expect from him - considering his history with addressing media during game weeks.
"We're [not] going to sit there and talk about the Kansas City game for the rest of the season, any more than we would talk about any of our big wins day after day after day," he says in the clip. "24 hours after the game, you've got to move on."

Belichick has a point. Although he was particularly blunt with his deflections that week, he almost always focuses his in-week press conferences on the team's current opponent. He pulled the same trick after Week 1 of the 2007 season, when Spygate was starting to blow up. Just focused on the Chargers...
Albert Breer is the reporter who gets shut down the most in the clip, trying to ask him the same question in different ways over and over, knowing full well he's getting "We're on to Cincinnati." You have to respect the persistence of both sides, really.
Everyone should thank Belichick for this instant classic press conference moment. "We're on to Cincinnati" has become almost iconic, a phrase that is becoming commonplace in explaining how you're moving on from anything, not just a football game.
Belichick's approach may not be the reason the Patriots win, but it clearly works. The Patriots blew the Bengals off the Gillette Stadium field that Sunday, killed any rumors of Tom Brady's demise, and saved rows of fans from jumping off the Zakim. Ignoring the noise can go a long way, and maybe more than ever entering the 2015 season thanks to you-know-what.
Do Your Job premieres Wednesday, Sep. 9 at 8:00PM on the NFL Network.
