'Do Your Job: Bill Belichick And The 2014 Patriots' Trailer Released
BOSTON (CBS) - If you're a New England Patriots fan, the trailer for the new NFL Networks film will give you goosebumps.
If you're a Seattle Seahawks fan (or a Patriots hater), it will make you vomit.
The NFL Network's "Do Your Job: Bill Belichick and the 2014 Patriots" trailer was released Thursday night, just as the Patriots opened their 2015 pre-season in their first game since winning Super Bowl XLIX.
The one-minute, 16-second preview is a breakdown of the fateful final play of that game and whether Bill Belichick would take a timeout after the Seahawks reached New England's 1-yard line with 26 seconds left in the game.
"I thought about the timeout and when I looked over there, I don't know, I just, something just didn't look right and Matt (Patricia) said you know, 'Do you want the timeout?' I said no, just play goal line," Belichick says in the trailer.
The next play turned out to be one of the worst play calls in sports history.
Seattle head coach Pete Carroll decided to pass instead of run and Patriots rookie Malcolm Butler intercepted Russell Wilson's throw to seal the victory.
The inside story can be seen in "Do Your Job: Bill Belichick and the 2014 Patriots," September 9 at 8 p.m. on the NFL Network.
"Do Your Job" was the Patriots slogan last season, a phrase Belichick can be heard yelling often on the sidelines.
"Maybe the one word that isn't in that that's implied is do your job well. It can be enough to make the difference," Belichick said.
