Bill Belichick Assumes Whitey Bulger Role In 'Black Mass' YouTube Mash-Up
BOSTON (CBS) -- The Internet is a crazy place. Sometimes on the Internet, you get to see a cat stoically defend a recently claimed bed, sometimes you can watch quadruplets laughing like crazy, and still other times you can watch Bill Belichick speak with Johnny Depp-as-Whitey Bulger dubbed in to replace the head coach's words.
What a time to be alive.
While some would argue that the months-long "DeflateGate" situation has done little in the way of positive developments, we now can at least agree that the latest creation from YouTube user "Super Bowl XLIX Champions" is a major step forward for humanity.
The video takes the audio from the latest trailer for "Black Mass" -- the upcoming Whitey Bulger film -- and lays it over footage of Bill Belichick.
The modified trailer replaces "The Most Notorious Gangster In U.S. History" with "The Most Notorious Gangster In NFL History," and instead of Bulger speaking to his 6-year-old son at the breakfast table, it shows Belichick talking with his son on a football field.
The genesis for the video would seem to come from the assertion by ESPN Tony Kornheiser that "Bill Belichick is the Whitey Bulger of the NFL, as far as people are concerned," a clip that plays at the start of the video.

(The special cameo by Pirate Belichick might be the best part. Well done.)
