Big Papi wins HR derby

The Red Sox designated hitter won the annual Home Run Derby competition at the All-Star game, edging Florida's Hanley Ramirez 11-5 in the final round.
Each hit 21 homers in the first two rounds.
Detroit's Miguel Cabrera, New York's Nick Swisher, and Toronto's Vernon Wells were the other American League competitors.
Milwaukee's Corey Hart, Arizona's Chris Young and Matt Holliday of St. Louis were the other National League swingers.
All-Star game starters announced
Colorado's Ubaldo Jimenez will start for the National League, while Tampa Bay's David Price gets the call for the American in Tuesday night's baseball All-Star game. Jimenez has a major league best 15-and-1 record, while Price is tied for the most wins in the American League with a 12-and-4 mark.
The National League will be trying to end a long midsummer drought in the game at Angels Stadium. They haven't won an All-Star game since 1996.
More than league bragging rights are at stake. The winning team's World Series representative will get home field advantage in the Fall Classic.
