Bidding Open For Ortiz Golf Classic Online Auction
BOSTON (CBS) - Sports fans have the chance at some once in a lifetime experiences thanks to David Ortiz, all for children in need.
Bidding is up on dream packages and sports memorabilia during the David Ortiz Celebrity Golf Classic online auction, open until December 2.
The auction benefits the David Ortiz Children's Fund, a non-profit organization that provides critical care services to children in need.

The online auction is one part of the Fourth Annual David Ortiz Celebrity Golf Classic which takes place December 1-4, 2011 at the Fishing Lodge Cap Cana in the Dominican Republic.
"I always look forward to gathering with all my friends for my annual David Ortiz Celebrity Golf Tournament. It is a wonderful opportunity to showcase my home country -the Dominican Republic -while raising money for children who can't afford the healthcare they need," Ortiz said in a release.
A few of the items up for auction including hitting lessons with Ortiz, a game of catch with Dustin Pedroia and four tickets to a Red Sox game, a 30-minute tennis session with Andy Roddick, and a vacation for 12 people at the Golden Dolphin Villa in the Dominican Republic.

The David Ortiz Celebrity Golf Classic benefits the Children's Fund, which began in 2006 as a way for Ortiz to help children in his home country of the Dominican Republic.
