The Harvard Square location (closer to Church Street) is the best, although the Boylston Street (corner of Exeter) store has a wider selection. They carry some designers that you won't find at the higher-end department stores. On top of that, they have a wonderful collection of boots that will have you oohing and awing. What's more, the men's section---well, it makes me want to be a man. They carry a variety of shoes for work and play for men. Be warned though, the staff at the Tannery don't have a reputation for being particularly helpful.
