Bergeron on Gresh & Zo: We Need To Be More Consistent
On today's show Patrice Bergeron joined Gresh & Zo to talk about the Bruins recent slump and what they need to do to get back on track.
Bergeron said that the B's are just as puzzled as to what's going on as the fans are.
"It's something that we've talked about that we're trying not to happen, and I guess it did," Bergeron said of the B's tired legs. "In the first two periods we weren't playing the way that we can. We were a little sluggish and they found a way to get the lead.
"It's hard. I don't know exactly what to tell you. I think a lot of teams experience that. I don't know exactly why that happens."
Bergeron also said that the Bruins aren't taking for granted the four games in hand they have over the Senators.

"Those games in hand -- you gotta win 'em," he said. "It doesn't matter if you have games in hand. If you don't win them, it doesn't matter."
And when it comes to excuses, Bergeron's not making any. When informed that the team is 31-13-2 and scores 3.65 goals per game with Nathan Horton in the lineup and is 6-8-1 with 2.13 goals per game without him, Bergeron said the B's simply have to find a way.
"We've always done that as a team is finding desperation and stepping up and finding ways to win when we're facing adversity," he said. "It's the same type of deal this year. We've got to find a way."
Bergeron also talked about his newest teammates and described his mentality as a leader on the ice.
