Bergeron On Gresh & Zo: The Winning Streak Continues

After a hard fought battle against the New Jersey Devels the Boston Bruins racked up their 6th consecutive win. After struggling to put the puck in the back of the net at the beginning of the season the team has scored 34 goals in their last 6 games.

Bruins center Patrice Bergeron joined Gresh & Zo to discuss the win over the Devils, Claude Julien's coaching, thoughts on Milan Lucic's hit on Ryan Miller and Benoit Pouliot fit on this team.

The Bruins and Devils were tied 1-1 heading into the 3rd, what was going through the minds of the players during that second intermission?

"We knew we could be better, we were still in the game and I guess that was the positive out of it. Jersey's a good team, they were playing hard. playing physical and they were pretty tough on the pucks so we had to be better in the 3rd period," Bergeron said.

Last season when this team was struggling there were talks that Claude Julien was losing this team and some wanted a change. The guys discussed what he's doing different this season and how's he's handling guys that has lead to this great run.

"I think now this year he's got a good sense of when we need to get pushed a little harder and keep pushing on us...Obviously we didn't get the start we needed, he didn't panic and he stayed with it and he made some changes with the lines and stuff and it payed off," the center said.

They went on to discuss the hit by Milan Lucic on Buffalo Sabres goalie Ryan Miller. Lucic did not receive a suspension for the hit and Miller was not pleased. What does Bergeron think of Lucic not getting a suspension and his physical play?

Also listen as they discussed the nickname that Brad Marchand hates, the play of Shawn Thornton and is Benoit Pouliot finding his spot on this team?
