Bergeron, McQuaid Return To Practice For Bruins
BOSTON (CBS) -- The Bruins had their leader back on the ice on Wednesday, as Patrice Bergeron made his return to practice.
Bergeron missed Boston's first three games of the season with a lower body injury, but the team is hoping he can suit up for Thursday night's home opener against the New Jersey Devils. No. 37 skated on a line with Brad Marchand and David Pastrnak at practice on Wednesday.
"Feeling good," Bergeron said after practice. "It was nice to be back with the guys on the ice today."
A final call on Bergeron's status for against the Devils will come sometime on Thursday, but it seems like all systems are good to go for his return.
"I don't think it's one of those things that will linger for too long," he said of the ailment. "I'd like to be on the ice; hopefully I feel good tonight and tomorrow morning and we'll go from there.."
Also returning to the ice on Wednesday was defenseman Adam McQuaid, who missed the first three games with an upper body injury.
McQuaid was seen skating on Boston's second blue line pairing with rookie defenseman Rob O'Gara.
