Bergeron: 'Just A Matter Of Time' Until Bruins Turned It Around
BOSTON (CBS) – The Boston Bruins are the hottest team in hockey, fresh off a hard-fought 1-0 win over the Canadiens in Montreal.
"It was a great win for us last night," forward Patrice Begeron told 98.5 The Sports Hub's Gresh and Zolak Tuesday morning. "We found a way to get a win again. Especially with the penalty kill late in the game with two minutes left, we did a good job with that. I think all game in our zone, we stayed tight and didn't panic. We did the job."
With the win, their ninth straight, the Bruins propelled in the standings and now sit in the three-spot in the Eastern Conference and in a three-way tie atop the Northeast Division.

"We knew it was just a matter of time to turn this thing around," said Bergeron. "We couldn't wait any longer; we kept digging ourselves a hole and the hole kept getting bigger. We knew it was going to be a tough time to get out of it."
"We had to do something and I thought we came back to playing our system, playing our game. Just being hard on the puck and chipping pucks and moving our feet," said Bergeron. "I thought we were playing a little too fancy, just trying to force plays and always have the pretty goals instead of just scoring goals. I think that was the biggest turning point."
With matchups against divisional foe Buffalo on Wednesday and a Friday matinee with the Detroit Red Wings, this week is more than just Thanksgiving for the Bruins.
"We know it's a big week for us, we're aware of that. We're playing some big teams. Tomorrow's game is going to be huge," he said of their meeting with the Sabres. "We beat them last time in our building, and they're going to want revenge and to beat us in their building. It's a divisional game as well, it's huge when we play teams in our division."
Bergeron on Fan Fight: 'Was Actually Pretty Bad'
It will also be Boston's first game against Buffalo since Milan Lucic' hit on goaltender Ryan Miller. Miller was diagnosed with a concussion, and was upset the NHL did not hit the Bruins winger with a suspension. He hasn't stopped complaining since, but the Bruins are going to focus on what they can do on the ice, not what other teams are doing off it.
"We're ready to play our game. We're worried about getting two points and getting the win," said Bergeron. "We know they aren't happy with the way they handled things. We're expecting a physical game, but we're not expecting anything stupid."
