Bergeron Feeling Good, Bruins 'Capable Of Doing Good Things'
BOSTON (CBS) – A day after coming back from a mild concussion, Patrice Bergeron is still feeling good for the Boston Bruins.
"I felt good out there," Bergeron told 98.5 The Sports Hub's Gresh and Zolak Friday afternoon, the day after coming back in the Bruins 2-0 Game 3 win over the Tampa Bay Lightning. "I prepared mentally a lot in the last two days in order for me to get back on the ice. I didn't know exactly if it was going to be game three or game four. We were taking it a day at a time, but I was preparing myself mentally and I think it helped a lot."
Bergeron missed nearly two weeks after suffering a mild concussion in Game 4 of the Bruins sweep of the Philadelphia Flyers.
"I knew right there I was kind of shaky and was a little dizzy," Bergeron recalled of the injury. "I knew it could have been a concussion, so that's why I didn't want to take any chances."

"This time I thought it was a lot milder, not even close to the two previous ones," he said of the other concussions he's suffered in his career. "We did the same thing; we took it a day at a time to see if my symptoms were still there. They weren't for a week so I'm feeling good."
Bergeron said he was not close to returning in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals, as some expected. Instead he and the team doctors made sure he was 100-percent rather than rush their star back.
"We didn't feel like we were ready," said Bergeron. "We took that extra game to make sure I was really at 100-percent. We didn't want to take any chances. I think it's great that the doctors did that with me."
Now that he is back, the Bruins are just two wins away from a trip to the Stanley Cup finals. The B's are feeling confident after two straight wins, but will not get too high about a couple of wins.
"We're a confident group, we know we're capable of doing good things," said Bergeron. "We're obviously happy with the win last night (but) we're not satisfied at all. We haven't accomplished anything yet. There is still a long way to go and we're taking it a game at a time."

The next game is Saturday afternoon in Tampa. The Bruins were able to shut out the Lightning in Game 3, but are expecting Tampa's firepower to return in Game 4.
"It's the type of team that is going to bounce back. It's going to be a tough game, we're ready for them to come out swinging."
