Belichick: 'Good To Have Josh' Back On Patriots
BOSTON (CBS) – Josh McDaniels will be back with the New England Patriots Saturday night as they take on the Denver Broncos, and his head coach couldn't be happier to have him back.
"It's good to have Josh on the staff. He's a person I've spent a lot of different time with, in a lot of different situations, and I have a lot of confidence in him," Patriots head coach Bill Belichick said during a conference call Monday afternoon. "He's smart, has great experience and background, and he knows our system."

"I've enjoyed our conversations the last couple days. We've got caught up on some things. As we move forward into the playoffs here, and I think he'll be a good asset to our team for the remainder of the season. We'll deal with next year, next year."
Gresh & Zo: McDaniels Back With Patriots
McDaniels rejoins the Patriots, who he left in 2009 to take over the Denver Broncos, and will assume the role of offensive coordinator when Bill O'Brien officially steps down to take the Penn State head coaching job. He originally served as Pats offensive coordinator from 2006-2008.

He will be with the team this weekend, but Belichick would not say in what role, or if McDaniels would coach from the sidelines or up in the booth. All of that will be figured out at some point this week.
"We'll probably talk about those things as we get a little closer to game time. Right now we're really just concentrating on our game plan and our scouting report preparations for Denver," said Belichick. "As we get through the week and later in the week, we'll talk about game day logistics. Again, he's been here before. We've all worked together. I don't really anticipate it being a problem.
