Beckett To Miss Start On Friday
Red Sox Manager Terry Francona announced Tuesday afternoon that Josh Beckett will not start on Friday against the Tigers due to back spasms. Beckett was originally slated to start on Wednesday night but was pushed back to Friday before being ruled out altogether. According to Francona the injury is not a major concern but the date of Beckett's next start is unknown. In seven starts this year, Beckett is 1-1 with a 7.46 ERA.
