Beautiful Weather Prevails

It's going to be another beautiful day across Southern New England!

Today's sunshine will be accompanied by an east-southeast breeze that will pick-up to 5-15mph this afternoon. Highs for interior locales will reach 75-80F while the coastal communities will be in the upper 60s to lower 70s.

On Tuesday, a cold front will be nearing the region which will result in increasing cloudiness during the afternoon. Highs will reach the middle 70s inland while the coast will remain in the 65-70F range. Rain/thunder will arrive late Tuesday evening.

The cold front that spawns this rain will be slow to move east on Wednesday. Consequently, most of Wednesday will be cloudy along with rain/downpours through early afternoon.  Then, there may be some bright spots west of Boston during the evening hours.  Highs on Wednesday will be cool near 70F inland...60s coast. This will be due to the north-northeasterly component to the wind flow.  Skies will slowly clear out on Wednesday night. Clouds will hang tough for the Outer Cape/Islands though.

Thursday and Friday will products of a building ridge at the upper levels of the atmosphere. However, more clouds will be around the Cape/Islands on Thursday as a weak area of low pressure develops just offshore. Thursday will be mostly sunny otherwise with highs in the lower to middle 70s...65-70F coast. Friday will be mostly sunny-partly cloudy with slightly warmer temps in the middle to upper 70s inland...68-74F coast.

Beach and boating this week will be pretty good overall except for Wednesday.

This week's night sky will include the waning gibbous to waning crescent moon along with Jupiter and Venus.
