Beachgoers Anxious Despite Constant Shark Patrols On Cape Cod
CHATHAM (CBS) - The great white sharks off Chatham are keeping swimmers out of the water.
The sharks are getting close enough to shore that swimming is off limits in the evening and early morning at some beaches.
Chatham Harbormaster Stuart Smith says swimming is also banned within 300 feet of seals.

Some beachgoers are still a little anxious despite constant patrols, on the lookout for great whites.
Marine biologists know the great whites are back, and have tagged nearly a dozen in the past two summers.
Friday, spotters were out on the water and in the air for hours, but not a single shark was spotted.
