BC's Andre Williams Named AP All-American
BOSTON (CBS) - After being a Heisman finalist for his stellar season out of the Boston College backfield, running back Andre Williams has been named to the Associated Press All-American First Team.
Williams led all of college football with 2,102 rushing yards and finished in the top 10 with 17 rushing touchdowns. He averaged 6.4 yards per carry and ran for more than 250 yards four times this season -- capped off by a 339 yard, two-touchdown day in a 38- 21 win over NC State in November.
The BC senior took home the Doak Walker Award last week, given to the nation's top running back.
Williams has one more game as a member of the Eagles, as BC will take on Arizona in the AdvoCare V100 Bowl on December 31 in Louisiana.
