Bank Of America Pavilion Will Soon Need New Name
BOSTON (CBS) --- The Bank of America Pavilion will soon need a new name.
The Boston Globe is reporting Bank of America is dropping its sponsorship at the end of September.
The chain has been scaling back since the recession and part of that is cutting their sponsorship program.
Live Nation owns the venue and says it has been in touch with a number of companies that are interested in sponsorship.
The waterfront venue was originally known as "Harbor Lights" before Live Nation took it over in 1999 and Fleet Boston was awarded naming rights.
It was Fleet Boston Pavillion before a merger with Bank of America in 2004.
Short-term naming rights of the Pavillion could run upward of $400,000.
