The Autumnal Equinox came at 5:05 this morning.

At that very moment, the majority of our viewing area was dry, but the steadier and heavier rain moves in later today and tonight.

Flood watches are in effect from this evening through Saturday as some areas will receive 1-3 inches of rain within that time frame.

Watch Melissa's forecast:

Highs will be in the lower 70s.

This unsettled weather pattern maintains control through the middle of next week.

Some upper level ridging will provide us with a chance of squeezing out a completely dry day on Sunday.

This weekend will be mild with highs in the middle and upper 70s.

A chance of showers remains in the forecast through Wednesday.

Then, models are hinting at a dry and cool 2nd weekend of Autumn.

Atlantic Tropical Update:

T.S. Ophelia is weakening as it's battling it out with strong upper level winds. Ophelia is currently tracking WNW @ 13mph along with maximum sustained winds @ 45mph.

Happy FRRRiday!

Melissa :)
