Autism Speaks Launches Latino Campaign "Quizas"
October 19, 2013
Autism is the fastest growing developmental disorder that's affecting many of our children. Every 11 minutes there is a new diagnosis and only 1 out of 88 children are receiving that diagnosis. Furthermore, Latino children are diagnosed more than 2 years later, even though children can receive a diagnosis as early as 18 months. In an effort to to bring more awareness about autism within the Latino community, the non profit organization Autism Speaks has created a new campaign called "Quizas" "Maybe". On this edition of Centro, WBZ's Yadires Nova-Salcedo talks to Maribel Rueda, Latino Liason for Autism Speaks in Massachusetts. Tune in!
