Aurora Borealis Lights Up New England Skies

BERLIN, N.H. (CBS) – The northern lights made for a stunning show in parts of New England Thursday night.

For the second time in less than two weeks, the aurora borealis put on a dazzling display near Sugarloaf Mountain in Maine.

There were also some breathtaking sights to be seen in the skies over New Hampshire.

Photographer Ryan Knapp took these pictures of the aurora borealis by Head Pond near Berlin, in the White Mountains.

New England wasn't the only region to get a glimpse of the northern lights. The sky also turned green early this morning in parts of Minnesota.
