August Has Made Its Arrival

We are in the midst of our 2nd month of Summer '11!

We've had 10 days of 90F+ during the month of July, and we've had a total of 11 days of 90F+ this year.

The 1st 90F+ degree day was on June 9 with a high of 92F.

Watch Melissa's forecast:

As we kick-off the month of August, the sun will be around in the morning before strong storms pass by during the afternoon and early evening (mainly between 1pm-8pm).

CAPE values are between 1500-2500, and the LI indices are between -5 and -6.  These storms have the potential of becoming strong/severe with the threat of damaging wind and hail.  High temps will be within the 85-91F range.

A secondary cold front will 'force' me to keep in a slight chance of an afternoon shower/storm on Tuesday.

Highs will be in the middle 80s.

Wednesday will be a close call as a surface low passes to our south.

There will be a chance of this rain skimming our southern viewing area while areas to the north will have sunshine. Highs will be around the lower 80s.

It will be a quiet end to the work week.

*Beach & Boating Forecast ... South 5-10 kts and 1-2 ft. seas.

Melissa :)
