Attorney Expects 'Simple And Speedy Trial' For Catherine Greig
BOSTON (CBS) - Whitey Bulger's longtime girlfriend, Catherine Greig, may not be as infamous as Bulger, but she now has a high-profile attorney representing her.
Kevin Reddington will not say who hired him, but has acknowledged he will represent her in court.
Reddington has won the respect of the state's legal community by taking on some noteably undesireable clients, like Michael McDermott, who killed seven coworkers in Wakefield several years ago.
WBZ-TV's Bill Shields reports.
But, Redddington has earned respect by representing numerous women who were battered or abused, and now he has Catherine Grieg as his newest client.

Reddington would not say what kind of defense he will come up with for his client, who is charged with harboring a fugitive.
Is it possible Reddington could present Grieg as someone who was emotionally abused by Bulger, and too frightened to run off ?
"I expect this to be a fairly simple and speedy trial...and move through the system quickly," Reddington told WBZ-TV.
