Asked About Browns, Patriots' Belichick Takes Shot At Jets
BOSTON (CBS) - Patriots head coach Bill Belichick is known for his stone-faced delivery just about every time he takes the podium (unless he's talking about Bon Jovi), but he had a little fun at the Jets' expense on Wednesday.
With the Patriots hosting the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, the franchise that gave Belichick his first head coaching job in 1991, he was asked if he had an affinity for the organization he spent fives years with.
"Those were five important years in my life -- for myself and my family and all that," he said. "But obviously, we've all moved on and I have a job to do here, and that's where my loyalty is -- to Robert [Kraft] and the Patriots organization and this football team. It's no different than how I feel, honestly, about the Colts or the Lions, or the Broncos."

While he holds most of his NFL stops in high regards, there is one former organization of Bill's that doesn't hold such a warm spot in his heart.
"I feel differently about the Jets," Belichick said, a smirk growing across his face. "We won't put them in that category."
Belichick may have been fired by the Browns when the franchise moved to Baltimore, but that was still better than the way things ended with the Jets. Belichick was supposed to replace Bill Parcells as their head coach in 2000, but he famously resigned one day after being introduced with a hand-written note on a napkin. The next day, he was named the new head coach of the Patriots.

Things have been even more bitter between the two teams since, and Wednesday's comment will just add a little more fuel to the flames.
