A's Avoid Sweep With 9-8 Win Over Sox
Kurt Suzuki hit two of Oakland's four home runs as the Athletics beat the Red Sox 9-8 this afternoon. Tim Wakefield lasted 6 innings for the Sox, allowing 8 runs on 6 hits. Jeremy Hermida was 3 for 5 on the day with a Home Run and 2 RBI. Bill Hall was 4 for 5 including a solo homer in the ninth which pulled the Sox to 9-8. After taking 2 of 3 games in the series with Oakland, The Sox will now hit the road and begin a weekend set with the Orioles in Baltimore on Friday night.
