PLYMOUTH (CBS) - Fire investigators are looking into the cause of an apparent arson at a Catholic Church complex in Plymouth.

It happened around 3 a.m. Tuesday in the St. Bonaventure parish center on Route 3A.

Pastor Ken Overbeck told WBZ-TV someone set the fire in the office and then stole some items - including a computer - before escaping.

The fire department was alerted when the smoke detectors went off.

The damage was contained to the office and the church was not burned.

There have been no arrests.

"You feel very safe and you go about your life and business, then you discover you're not so safe," the Rev. Overbeck told WBZ.

"You think you're protected, think you're invincible, and then you discover you're not."

Last May, two teenage boys were accused of spray painting graffiti outside the church.
