Arrington On Toucher & Rich: Is Henne Underrated?
The Patriots fell to third place in the AFC after a 41-34 loss to the San Francisco 49ers last Sunday at Gillette.
Patriots cornerback Kyle Arrington spoke with 98.5 The Sports Hub's Toucher & Rich to discuss the loss to the 49ers, and New England's upcoming game against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday.
The Pats found themselves in a 31-3 hole against San Fran late in the third quarter, but went on to tie the game with four straight unanswered touchdown drives. With the great performance late in the game, are there such a thing as a "moral victory" in the Pats' locker room?
"We preach about mental toughness week in and week out, so it was one of those things where we felt we were always in the game," said Arrington. "But to come up short it's a little difficult. The only wins that matter are the ones that go in the stat book."
They also discussed the first play after the Patriots had tied the game at 31. 49ers receiver Michael Crabtree caught a 38-yard pass from Colin Kaepernick and took it all the way to the house to put the 49ers back on top -- thanks in large part to a bad route by Arrington. The Pats' corner talked about what happened on that play, and how he needed to make that tackle in that situation.
They went on to discuss this Sunday's game against the 2-12 Jacksonville Jaguars and quarterback Chad Henne. Is he underrated at his position?
