Arrest Made In Fatal Hit-And-Run In Chelsea
CHELSEA (CBS) -- A Chelsea man is under arrest and charged with killing a man in a hit-and-run crash last month in his hometown.
22-year-old Luis Gabriel Escalante is charged with felony motor vehicle homicide, leaving the scene of an accident that caused death, and operating under the influence.
36-year-old Julio Vaquerano of Revere was hit on December 14 at the corner of Blossom and Maple Streets.
Vaquerano died a short time later at Massachusetts General Hospital.
Police say they arrested Escalante based on information they gathered during their investigation.
He's scheduled to be arraigned Thursday morning at Chelsea District Court.
