Around The NFL And Soccer 6: Tough Week For Rex Ryan

BOSTON (CBS) - Here's some of the news swirling around the NFL.

The Bears look to be one of the teams to beat in the NFC and all of a sudden they have been hit with a big blow. After yesterday's 31 to 20 victory over the San Diego Chargers, rumors start getting out that Jay Cutler was hurt. The weird thing about this was Cutler and head coach Lovie Smith did their press conferences and nothing was said. The rumors were true though. Jay Cutler has a broken thumb on his throwing hand and he's headed for surgery. The Bears have yet to say if his season is over though. "I'm not going to play doctor right now," Smith said when asked how long Cutler will be sidelined. "We're going through the process. We will be able to tell you a little bit more. That's all we can tell you right now. That's all we know right now."

It wasn't perfect but the Green Bay Packers have remained a perfect 10 and oh. Yesterday, they played a sloppy game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and though their defense gave up 455 yards to the Bucs, they were able to squeak out the victory. Not the best day for Packers QB Aaron Rogers. He threw and interception and made some terrible throws at times but a win is a win. "I'm just frustrated," Rodgers said. "I didn't throw the ball very well. I'm not trying to be ridiculously humble right now, I'm just frustrated. The ball wasn't coming out the way I wanted it to today."

Jets head coach Rex Ryan is having a tough week. His team lost to the Pats and the Broncos this week and now he's awaiting a fine from the league. Last Sunday, after the game with the Pats, Rex got into an argument with a fan in the stands. Rex let some choice words fly and lets just say, the league does not approve of that. Ryan is said to be fined between 75k and 100k."Hey, Rex, Belichick is better than you," the fan screamed to Ryan, who was walking off the field and into the locker room tunnel with the rest of the team at MetLife Stadium. "Shut the %#&$ up," Ryan yelled back to the fan, who isn't seen in the video. Ryan apologized last Monday.

Soccer 6 chimes in and we can't get away from this Kardashian mess. I right now feel like vomiting rage. Soccer says there is a petition going around that is asking "E" to cancel that terrible show. Reall!!! they need a petition to let the network know that the show is warm garbage. 6 says the petition has reached 100,000 signatures. Soccer will not sign the petition because it's one of 6's favorite shows. Folks this is a sad world we live in. Please somebody take 6 and shake some sense into that brain. The Kardashians are evil. OCCUPY the Kardashians.

Shaq in the news and Soccer says the daddy was turned away from a New York night club because he failed to reach the dress code. Apparently Shaq was dressed up like a lumberjack. This is my question to 6? Did he have an axe and try to be the black Paul Bunyon? Was there an OX in tow? Shaq should know better. Soccer said he looked like Ed Reed and folks 6 is correct here. Love Ed Reed on the football field but off the field, he dresses homeless. That's his look and he rolls that real strong.

Finally, 6 tells us that Hope Solo is off of Dancing With The Stars. To be honest, I forgot this show was still on television. Soccer is happy about this because Hope's goalie style dancing was not appealing to watch. When Solo dances, she holds her hands like she's defending a goal. I can't even picture that. The good news is 6 says, she was on this show longer than the Kardashian marriage. We just can't get away from the mess that is the Kardashians. How do I get my hand on that petition.

That's all for this week. Thanks for reading and thank you Soccer 6.
