April Fools' Snow Hits New Hampshire, Mass.
BOSTON (CBS) – It's no joke.
Heavy, wet snow fell at sunrise across most of the region on April Fools' Day, letting everyone know this nagging winter isn't quite over yet – no matter what the calendar says.
New Hampshire and northern Massachusetts had the most, with up to 8 inches on the ground in many locations. Thousands of homes and businesses lost power in the storm.

The heaviest of the storm ended around 10 a.m. According to WBZ-TV meteorologist Melissa Mack, it will taper off with scattered light snow showers into the afternoon and evening.

The weekend will be dry, with temperatures in the high 40's.
