Anti-Gun Billboard On Mass Pike In Boston To Be Moved
BOSTON (CBS) - If you've ever driven the Massachusetts Turnpike into downtown Boston you've probably seen the massive anti-gun billboard behind the left field wall at Fenway Park.
It's been there since 1995.
But it's time for the owner to move the 250-foot-long sign.
Real estate developer John Rosenthal, the co-founder of the group "Stop Handgun Violence" put up the huge billboard 19 years ago to keep a tally of Americans killed by handgun violence.
Now that he's sold the parking garage that the sign is attached to, he's going to move it.
"I'm hoping some property owner will come along that has a property along a very busy road with high visibility, like a Mass Pike or 93, or 128 or somewhere. But hopefully in Boston," he told WBZ NewsRadio 1030 Tuesday.
The sign must be moved by next March.
