Anton Khudobin Signs With Hurricanes
BOSTON (CBS) - The Boston Bruins appear set in goal, as they are expected to sign netminder Tuukka Rask to a long-term deal in the near future.
But they will have to find a backup goaltender, as Anton Khudobin signed a one-year, $800,000 deal with the Hurricanes on Friday.
The good news is, they might not have to look too far for that backup.

Khudobin, who spent two seasons in the Boston system, went 9-4-1 with a 2.32 goals-against average and a .920 save percentage in 2013. Peter Chiarelli said earlier this week he was interested in bringing Khudobin back for next season, but expected him to hit the free agent market.

Niklas Svedberg put up solid numbers in Providence, going 37-8-8 record with a 2.17 GAA and .925 save percentage, and will likely become Rask's backup for 2013-14.
