Another Gem...
Is this the best month ever or what...we've only had one day with measurable rain in the last two weeks! Heading into the weekend not much will change. High pressure is in charge and although we will have more clouds than sun today the weekend will be loaded up with sunshine and warmer temps in the lower to middle 70s.
Don't write off that offshore storm just yet...our medium range guidance is now indicating a larger impact from an offshore ocean low. The timing looks like Monday into Monday night with the low making a close pass by the Cape. This would lead to large waves at the beaches, gusty wind at the coast and some rain for Eastern MA...perhaps heavy rain over the Cape and Islands. This storm has been shifty and we'll continue to follow it over the beautiful weekend!
P.S...On this day back in 1985 the beast Hurricane Gloria slammed into New England. Gloria was the "event" that hooked me on weather. I was living in West Hartford, Connecticut and lost power for a week...what a storm!
Enjoy!
