Andrea Campbell Enters Massachusetts Attorney General's Race
BOSTON (CBS) - Former Boston City Councilor Andrea Campbell is entering the race for Massachusetts Attorney General.
She officially launched her campaign at an event in Dorchester Wednesday morning.
"I am living proof that a girl who grew up in public housing with a family torn apart by incarceration, crime and poverty, with the help and support of a community, could become first black woman president of the Boston City Council," she told supporters at her announcement.
Campbell ran an unsuccessful campaign for mayor last year.
She joins labor attorney Shannon Liss-Riordan as the only two candidates in the race.
Attorney General Maura Healey is running for governor.
