Amtrak Resumes Service Between Boston And New York After Wire Problem
BOSTON (CBS) – Amtrak temporarily suspended service between Boston and New York City because of overhead wire problems in Connecticut.
A tree fell onto the wires and nearby tracks near Guilford, Connecticut around 8 a.m., knocking out power.
Amtrak says service was restored on one of the affected tracks before 1 p.m. Full service was expected to be available later in the afternoon.
