Child Kidnapped From Roxbury Home Found Safe After Amber Alert
BOSTON (CBS) – A child who was kidnapped from a home in Roxbury Tuesday night was found hours later in Cambridge.
Police issued an Amber Alert for 13-year-old Jonathan Moore Jr. after his father forced his way into a home at 9 Highland Street, assaulted the person inside and forcibly removed the boy.
The suspect is identified as 37-year-old Jonathan Moore Sr. and police say he is still at large. Moore claimed to have a handgun and threatened to use it. He is a black male with black hair and brown eyes, is 6'3" tall and weighs approximately 180 pounds.
Police are also looking for 25-year-old Ashley Smith who was believed to be with Moore at the time of the kidnapping.
Police did not release any details about how the boy was found in Cambridge or his condition.
